Nas debut “Illmatic” in book form

The writers Michael Eric Dyson and Sohail Daulatzai have collaborated to present an upcoming book called “Born to Use Mics: Reading Nas’s Illmatic”. Focus of this work will be the texts of Nas album “Illmatic” from 1994, one of the most incisive and critically acclaimed debuts in HipHop culture.

Each Track will be additionaly commented by contributors like: Adilifu Nama, Guthrie P. Ramsey, Jr, James Peterson, Marc Lamont Hill, Michael Eric Dyson, Mark Anthony Neal, Kyra Gaunt, Eddie S. Glaude, Jr., Imani Perry and others.
