Seven Inch Sides

DJ Prestige from Flea Market Funk once again. The Lost Soul 45 Mix was published yesterday. Now we have a great rocksteady/roots reggea mix from the vinyl digging DJ. Once again: Vinyl only and compiled in one take, including cracks, pops and one lickle skip. With some exceptions, all these records are original Jamaican sides, which were were released on 7″ records.

Artist appearances from Eddie Lovette, King Tubby & The Aggrovators, The Revolutionarys, Dennis Brown and many more. Audio stream, a personal statement from DJ Prestige and the tracklist are listed below. I also added some original label Scans, which I found at the original post. Use this plugin to download the mix.

I have been stockpiling these records for such an occasion, and here are 15 to start.

I did this mix in one take, so it’s live and has a live feel (cracks, pops, one lickle skip) and added a few drops from Bob, Daddy Rodigan and the tour guide we had when we stayed in Jamiaca. Her shout of “To the wooooooorrrld” was something I always wanted to use. (From: FMF)
