As the year started and everyone went to bed on the first Sunday of the year, I was out in the cold. I met up with Ivette at the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica late that night and we made our way to the Beach.
I have shot Ivette at the beginning of last year but it had been a while so we took some time to catch up, we talked about what we had been up to, joked around and shared some laughs. I told her that I had been wanting to shoot at the pier but theirs always people around it’s kind of hard.
The shoot started with flash but when I was looking through my view finder I was really liking the way the surrounding lights were hitting her body so I turned off the flash and played with the highlights. It turned out so dope. It was a good way to start the year off.
So we settled with just shooting off the side, at night where I can really utilize the ferris wheel.
