Top 10 Albums in 2010 – Can’s Selection

Autor: Can  | Kategorie: Tracks | 28. Dezember 2010

01. Nate57 – Stress aufm Kiez

Nate57 - Stress aufm Kiez

The debut album from Nate57 who lives around the corner from my place. I usually listened to „Stress aufm Kiez“ on my way to work and got much respect for the fact, that he did #37 in german album charts as a newcomer.

On The Blog:
Nate57 – Stress aufm Kiez (Tracklist / Cover)

Recommendable Tracks:
Sankt Pauli Patriot, Waffenfreiezone, Geld regiert die Welt, Nate57, Träume

02. Far East Movement – Free Wired

Far East Movement - Free Wired

In my opinion, this one is the most innovative album in 2010. I really enjoyed listening to the mixture of Electro and Rap mostly at work to push myself when I was getting tired…

On The Blog:
Far East Movement Talk About Geeking Out, Influences and More

Recommendable Tracks:
Girls On The Dance Floor, Like A G6, If I Was You

03. Sade – Soldier Of Love

Sade - Soldier Of Love

The counterpart to Far East Movement’s „Free Wired“ and in my eyes the most laid back album in 2010. Sade’s „Soldier Of Love“ album used to bring me down when I was nervous and full of stress.

On The Blog:
Free Mixtape: 21 Love Salute: A Tribute To Sade

Recommendable Tracks:
Soldier Of Love, Morning Bird, Babyfather, In Another Time

04. The Roots – How I Got Over

The Roots - How I Got Over

The Roots‘ latest stand alone project is more than a solid work to me. The track „Now Or Never“ is one of my favourite in 2010. Thanks to Josef, who give it to me as a birthday gift.

On The Blog:
The Roots – How I Got Over (Tracklist / Cover)

Recommendable Tracks:
Now Or Never, Dear God 2.0, Right On, Radio Daze

05. Diddy Dirty Money – Last Train To Paris

Recommendable Tracks:
Ass On The Floor, Someone To Love Me, Hate You Now, Angels, Last Night pt. 2

06. Kanye West – My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

Kanye West – My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

This might be the most anticipated album in 2010, but my expectations were not completely satisfied. However, Kanye’s latest work is much more than solid work and the G.O.O.D. Friday series triggered a new trend in online music marketing. What do you think about it?

On The Blog:
Kanye West – My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (Tracklist / Cover)

Recommendable Tracks:
Monster, So Appalled, Runaway, Hell Of A Life, Lost In The World

07. Eminem – Recovery

Eminem - Recovery

For me this is one of the most pop-ish album and Haddaway’s „No Love“ the most surprisingly sample in 2010. I can remember listening to the song when I was on my way to the football city derby Hamburger SV vs. FC Sankt Pauli around the corner where I live. The game result was 1:1 and there was No Love between the fan groups…

On The Blog:
Eminem – Recovery (Tracklist / Cover)

Recommendable Tracks:
No Love, Talkin‘ To Myself, W.T.P., Not Afraid

08. Black Milk – Album Of The Year

Black Milk - Album Of The Year

Not my album of the year and I think Black Milk is a better producer than a MC, but I really enjoyed listening to this album. My favourite pick: „Round Of Applause“.

On The Blog:
Black Milk – Album Of The Year (Tracklist / Cover)

Recommendable Tracks:
Welcome, Deadly Medly, Round Of Applause, Black And Brown

09. The Roots & John Legend – Wake Up
